Poem- Fragmentation

He came to me
with hot caresses
and lilies and solemn
promises.

By the time he left,
my heart
was a broken mirror.

Just reading Stephen Mitchells's Gilgamesh on the loo - and what do you know, the great king himself had exactly these issues, with a lady named Ishtar. Trust is hard to come by in love, and for good reasons!

Thanks for the poem, Zaina. A pleasure and coffee enhancer.
